"Skylar helped me sell two townhomes in Fremont. By nature, I'm skeptical of the value that brokers add to the real estate purchase/sale process, given their handsome commissions. Skylar asked for an opportunity to prove his value and came through by demonstrating his extensive experience, tireless work ethic and superior expertise.
I was on the fence about selling the first of the two townhomes because I was so busy at the time with other projects and also had a vacation planned during the time that the townhome would need to be prepped for the market. "Skylar was an amazing broker to work with. When we initially met to discuss what I was looking for he was attentive but also asked questions that I hadn't even considered. He made it much easier to zero in on what it was that I really wanted for my first real estate purchase. Over the next few months he would send me multiple emails a week with various on and off market listings. We would discuss details and either make a visit or pass. As we discussed the good/bad of the listings you could tell Skylar was changing what he sent to reflect my feedback. He was on time to show units and always reachable via phone/email/text. When it came to closing he had multiple lenders he has works closely that I could choose from, which was nice to be able to do a comparison and ensure I was getting the best deal. "We can’t thank Skylar enough for all the work he did in selling our condo. My wife and I have demanding jobs during the day and spend the remaining time with our kids so we needed a realtor that could communicate effectively with us, run the communications with all the other parties to the transaction, and respond quickly to our concerns. Skylar made it a point to coordinate with both our schedules when he thought a call was necessary to move forward with a particular action item. With our schedules, these calls were usually after 9pm which Skylar had no issue with.
Our situation was a bit unique as we had a tenant in our condo that was managed by a property manager. We are not sure if it is typical for a realtor to work as closely as Skylar did with the tenant and property manager, but this was a huge relief to us and at the end of the day, we actually never sent any correspondence to the tenant or the property manager about the transaction (we did send a final summary email after the transaction closed to work out issues with cut-offs for rent and the settlement of deposits).
Skylar’s market analysis and pricing knowledge was the primary reason we got the price we did for our condo. We were not expecting the number of offers we received and also the price to bid up the way it did and firmly believe the reason was Skylar’s ability to price. If we went with our default option for our selling agent, we would have painfully gotten short changed.
In speaking with Skylar after we got multiple offers, we quickly realized his negotiating skills and his ability to use the other offers as well as our current tenant as assets. Our journey to find a new home was a very long one. We started over 2 years ago, even going as far as thinking of trying to find land to build. We met Skylar by referral and he proved to be fantastic. He was able to step up and find potential homes for us we hadn't thought of. We had a great experience using Skylar as our buyers agent. We made a quick move up to the area and wanted to find a home fairly quickly. Skylar went to work for us right away, even calling off-market properties to see if he could find us a better deal than what was on the market. We always felt like he was working for us and was very attentive.
What I appreciated most about Skylar was his honesty about the properties we viewed. He told us what he didn't like about certain properties and warned us when he noticed things that would need expensive repairs. He noticed things about homes that we did not notice, but probably would have bothered us if we had bought any of those homes.

"I enjoyed working with Skylar immensely. If you judge by appearances, you might underestimate him: he seems very young, is a bit scruffy, and is rather hyperactive. Get past that, and you will find he is obsessed with satisfying every client. He has extensive knowledge of the real estate market and offers compelling advice about price and investment quality of properties. He goes out of his way to be available when his clients need him.
Skylar is very good at finding properties that a client's Zillow search will miss. He turns up available off-market homes and listed houses that somehow don't fit the search. He took a personal interest in my requirements and preferences. I had some rather particular location constraints, and he quickly adapted and found excellent properties that I would not have found.
Skylar goes the extra mile. I found an exciting property on a Sunday two hours before the open house closed and learned that they were reviewing offers that evening. I called Skylar and asked if he could look at the property and write an offer. He was doing things with his dad, so he and dad showed up half an hour later, the two of them helped me to examine the house and ask questions, then Skylar borrowed my laptop to write the offer before 6pm.
Finally, Skylar keeps it together under stress. He was having a terrible car week - someone broke his window, his transmission overheated, other problems... When his car was broken he enlisted his dad's help and his girlfriend's help, showed up and got the job done."
